BELSANA evo®lution.
Sustainable compression stockings.

Developed by the compression expert.
Discover the fibre that inspired our development of the first sustainable compression stocking.
BELSANA evo®lution.
Quality with biobased fibres.
Made with high-tech synthetic fibre from renewable resources.
54% bio-based fibre content.
Developed in collaboration with yarn manufacturer Fulgar.
The modern fibre EVO® by Fulgar is 100% of biological origin. Its raw materials are castor oil and industrial corn – both fully renewable resources that require neither large amounts of water nor compete with land used for food production.
More than half of the raw material comes from the inedible castor plant, which grows wild on barren, dry soils. The remainder is derived from industrial corn, cultivated on land that does not compete with the production of rice, wheat, or other traditional food crops. Only 40% of the corn kernel is used for fibre production; the rest is sold to other food and feed markets.

Compression yarn made from castor oil.
The alternative to petroleum – the castor plant is an ideal raw material for biobased fibres, as it meets the following criteria:
- Not edible for humans
- A low-maintenance crop with minimal water requirements – grows in arid regions that are unsuitable for agriculture and would otherwise lie fallow
- Originating in North Africa and the Middle East, now cultivated in tropical zones worldwide
- No competition with food production or arable land
- Press residues can be used as animal feed
Our high standards, sustainably advanced.

Dyed without the use of unnecessary chemicals.
Dyeing with walnut shells? Yes, it’s possible.
In search of a dyeing method that avoids conventional chemical dyes, our development team rediscovered an ancient technique: as early as the Middle Ages, fabrics were dyed using the green, fleshy shells of walnuts. We’ve refined and modernised this method to suit today’s standards.

No mordants required.
The walnut dye plant offers a unique advantage: it naturally contains enough tannins, allowing us to eliminate the need for additional mordants. Despite using a natural dye, we are able to achieve a consistent and even colour gradient.
Packaging that takes sustainability as seriously as the product inside.
Sustainability doesn’t stop at the product.
Anyone producing a sustainable stocking cannot overlook the packaging. Our goal: packaging that fulfils its purpose while placing minimal strain on the environment – made from renewable resources, manufactured sustainably and with careful use of materials.
The packaging of BELSANA evo®lution is made from FSC Mix paper. During production, materials from FSC-certified forests and/or recycled sources, as well as controlled sources, are used. FSC-certified or post-consumer recycled material is used in quantities of at least 70%, or an equivalent amount is applied during the production process to manufacture the labelled goods.

„Sustainable production is no longer an ecological luxury – it's a necessity. We can feel how important this topic is to you “
